    In 2003, the group of four friends gathered up to establish an independent production, which eventually transformed into the largest watch factory in the country...

    The choice of wristwatches for the male half of humanity today is really great. What kind of materials are not used here. But an undeniable classic that has passed the test of time is a men's watch on a leather strap. What styles of clothing such an accessory is suitable for, how practical it is and how to choose such a device – in our material.

    Men's watches on a leather strap – pros and cons

    To say that all the advantages of leather end only on a large proportion of handmade work would be wrong. After all, there are many other nuances that make men's wristwatches with a leather strap so popular:

    • this material is quite light and practically does not feel on the hand;
    • the skin adapts to the body temperature, so that in summer and winter the walkers will not cause discomfort;
    • nature is the best designer, so you won't find two identical genuine leather straps;
    • due to its stylish appearance, the leather is ideal for luxury models, especially non–traditional options - ostrich, alligator, shark;
    • durability and practicality – leather wears out for a long time and is suitable for any image;
    • this material, thanks to the natural variety of textures, can offer a rich selection of options.

    But there are also disadvantages. For example, when the leather wears out or deteriorates, it cannot be repaired, a complete replacement of the strap is needed. In addition, if you wear a watch every day, this material will get dirty, absorbing sweat and dust. On the other hand, it cannot be said that these features were definitively negative – there are incomparably more advantages in leather straps.

    Ways to care for a leather strap

    In order to keep the leather strap clean, from time to time it can be wiped with warm water with soap and a drop of alcohol. Use only liquid hand soap or shampoo – they have a more gentle formula.

    You can also use a baking soda solution for severe contamination. After washing, leave the strap to dry on its own. Blow-drying or other artificial methods can lead to skin deformation.

    But the best option would be to take the watch to specialists. If possible, the skin will be cleaned. If not, your strap will simply be replaced with a new one.
