NIKA Watches trends for 2019
Watches are subject to fashion trends, just like haute couture. Swiss watch exhibitions Baselworld and SIHH dominate the scene here. They are held at the beginning of the year and determine what will be relevant and in demand in the coming seasons. According to the world's most influential watch trendsetters, here are the top five watch trends of 2019
The toy watch
There has been a noticeable decline in the number of young people who purchase watches in 2019 (more often they use their smartphones to check the time) and the importance they attach to appearance (style and compatibility of accessories? no, I have not heard about that). In order to bring back the lost youth to the stores (and to the true style), watchmakers went deep into the development of toy watches (or just watches with interesting features). It is important to note that the accessory should tell a certain story, which will later be able to be retold by the owner to others in the immediate vicinity. Now, young people are delighted to buy watches not just for the time, but also to show off! Compared to their pretentious counterparts that emphasize status and prestige, these watches look less pretentious and are considerably cheaper.
"Casino" is a great way to pass the time, whether you are alone or with friends!
Vintage watch (retro)
Watchmaking experienced its "Golden Age" between the 1940s and 1970s. A quartz watch was unknown at the turn of the 20th century, so mechanical watches were the kings of the market. Designers have taken the most stylish examples from that era and incorporated them into their modern models in the form of stylized antiques. An obvious indication of stylization is the placement of the second hand on a separate dial.
A hole in the dial indicates an open heart (we admire the watch's even beat).
Sport, you are the world!
It is important to note that sports-themed watches are a strong point of many brands, which have dedicated their creations to fans of extreme sports. As it happens, jewelry watches are incompatible with extreme sports, so there are only a few exceptions (gold is a soft metal, so it does not require additional load). Not wanting to lag behind fashion, some jewelry manufacturers "strengthen" precious watches with non-precious materials (steel and plastic). The result is a bold and cute design.
Motoline watches are a joint development of the NIKA Exclusive and Azimuth brands. NIKA Watches and Russian pilots collaborated on TOGA Avia watch. Only these two models of the NIKA watch factory are completely made from steel rather than silver.
Bicolor watch
In the wardrobe of any modern fashionista, this item is a must-have. The two-tone case and bracelet trend has been around for several seasons. An example of timeless style at its finest! The successful combination of two different metals makes BICOLOR watches ideal for wearing with complimentary accessories.
A few manufacturers chose gold-plated steel, others steel and gold, and NIKA was the first to use a mix of gold and silver.
Blues in 50 shades
Men's watches with blue dials are another enduring trend and are relatively rare in the watch industry. Why is this only found in men's watches? In the world of strict business suits, classic colors are predominant: black, white, steel, and champagne. Women, however, are more likely to be able to afford bright models.
Fortunately, blue comes in many shades - indigo, sky blue, blue-black, sea, and even royal blue, which can be used in a wide variety of contexts.
